Though I seldom mass mail emails, I did with the following message:
Despite the weather turning colder and winter weather heading my way, I am trying to raise money for Lupus Research. My goal is to run 100 miles in the month of November. I am asking for donations ( per mile or flat pledges) to help me meet my goal of raising a total of $500 to support the ongoing research in the Lupus SLE field. If you are interested or able to assist, please email me and I will provide you with details. I also will be sending a follow up site with information about ways to make a pledge.
